The Transport Driver will operate various types of vehicles, including minivan and a small bus, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety compliance. Duties Safely operate a variety of vehicles such as minivan and small bus to transport residents to designated routes. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting residents with wheelchair, loading, walkers and addressing inquiries professionally. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and proper functioning of all systems; perform routine maintenance checks as needed. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure passenger safety at all times. Communicate effectively with maintenance staff to coordinate schedules and address any route changes or issues promptly. Assist with lifting when loading or unloading wheelchairs to ensure safe handling practices. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs for compliance purposes. Experience Proven experience as a small bus driver, or similar role involving commercial driving responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to operate various types of vehicles with a clean driving record. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and basic troubleshooting skills to address minor issues promptly. Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with passengers and team members in diverse environments. Familiarity with local traffic regulations and safety standards related to commercial driving is essential. Prior experience in customer service roles that require professionalism and positive engagement with clients is highly valued.
