NEMT Driver

Job Overview Join our team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver and become a vital part of providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for individuals with medical needs. In this energetic role, you will operate specialized vehicles to transport clients to medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and safety at every mile. Your positive attitude and excellent driving skills will help us deliver exceptional service while fostering trust and independence for those we serve. Safely operate wheelchair van to transport clients to medical appointments, dialysis centers, and special events. Securing passengers and providing friendly customer service as needed. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met and vehicles are in top condition. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and traffic updates while adhering to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and healthcare providers to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and special requests. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance. Requirements Valid driver's license. Proven experience as a NEMT driver highly preferred but not required, bus driver, or limousine chauffeurs are also welcomed. Must be over 25 years of age with clean driving record per insurance requirements . Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Knowledge of local routes, traffic laws, and safety regulations related to commercial driving. The ideal candidate should be within manageable driving distance of starting point in Gaithersburg MD Physical ability to safely wheel passengers into and out of the vehicles. Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and patience when working with diverse clients.
