Monday-Friday 11 am•7:30 pm also includes dispatching responsibilities Pay Range $18.85•$28.30
Major Responsibilities:
Provides safe, timely, and customer‑focused van services by responding promptly to Dispatch calls, traveling safely to designated areas, assisting staff, visitors, and patients with information or directions, and offering age‑ and developmentally appropriate support. Maintains operational and professional standards by ensuring the safety and appearance of the assigned van and completing all required TJC and departmental training for ongoing competency. Oversees daily transportation dispatch operations by assigning drivers and vehicles (vans and gold carts) based on location, timing, and capacity; responding to customer questions and complaints; providing timely route updates; and identifying and resolving logistical issues such as delays, breakdowns, or schedule changes.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent with five years clear driving record.
Certification/Registration/License:
Valid applicable state driver's license (with no restrictions). Must complete a driver's training course provided by the Transportation Supervisor within thirty days of hire.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to drive in all weather conditions and road hazards. Good public relations skills. Good communication and listening skills. Customer service orientation. Adaptability to varying situations. Handles stress well. Ability to use equipment effectively. Computer skills. Commitment to safe driving.
