MAVO Driver (wheelchair van) - Mon-Fri, Day Shift

Overview We are seeking an experienced MAVO certified Driver to join the team at our Adult Day Habilitation Center in Mountainside, NJ.

Work hours:

Monday to Friday. Start time 7:00am. Split Shift. 40 hours. No nights. No weekends. Excellent benefits and perks, including health insurance, paid time off, vacation, paid training, bonus, and much more. This job requires experience as a MAVO certified wheelchair vehicle driver. Have experience with a fixed daily route transporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Any other type of driver will not be considered. Duties Provide transportation to individuals with disabilities. A route will be assigned to pick up and drop off individuals. Assist inside the Center in activities with program participants Perform minor building maintenance procedures when needed Maintain accurate records of trips and documentation of daily activities Other duties as assigned.

Experience Required:

Current experience driving MAVO type of vehicles, including wheelchair liftgate and shuttle buses.

Current MAVO certification

High school completion or higher education

Required:

Ability to write reports and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

experience attending to individuals inside the Center when not driving

Fluent in English (verbal and written) required. Additional Spanish language skills is highly preferred.
