Job Description

Job Description:
Transports participants according to an established schedule, staying with allotted times. Assists participants in and out of the bus. Interacts with participants in a warm, professional manner, maintaining positive relationships with participants. Notifies the Director of Transportation/Administrator of any potential mechanical problems or needed repairs. Maintains an open line of communication with the Activity Director regarding needed transportation. Maintains a clean driving record. Assists participants with activities of daily living such as daily meal service, ambulation, transfers and supervision/monitoring of participants during field trips.
Qualifications:
Relates to participants in a courteous, understanding and cooperative manner. Maintains a current driver's license of the appropriate type required for the van. Maintains a good driving record.
Education and Experience:
Must be at least 20 years of age. High school education or equivalent GED required. Prefer at least one year's experience driving professionally.
