In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring timely and comfortable journeys. This position offers an energetic work environment where your driving skills make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Duties Safely operate medical vans or similar vehicles to transport patients, staff, and medical supplies. Assist patients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, providing courteous and respectful service at all times. Ensure vehicles are well-maintained by conducting routine inspections and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during each trip to guarantee passenger safety. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare staff, and patients to coordinate schedules and address any concerns. Load and unload equipment or heavy lifting tasks as needed, maintaining proper safety procedures. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Experience with paratransit services or school bus driving is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients, staff, and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely when required for loading or unloading supplies or equipment. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to ensure safety and reliability of the vehicle fleet. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
