Job Description

MUSCOGEE
(CREEK) NATION Seeking a
COACH/SHUTTLE OPERATOR
General Summary:
Under the direction of the Transit Director and assigned Charter supervisor, operates coach bus and various vehicles providing safe and efficient long range transportation services to citizens.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Shall transport passengers along a designated route in a safe and timely manner Pre-Trip vehicle prior to operation including checking items such as fuel, engine oil, water, tires and lights utilizing vehicle safety checklist. Post-trip at end of shift. Maintain vehicles in clean and proper working condition; report repair needs. Observe legal, safe and defensive driving practices. Assists handicapped passengers with boarding, seating and exiting bus. Responsible for and capable of operating lift and/or ramp equipped vehicles and securing passengers who require mobility devices. Understand and follow oral and written directions. Read, interpret and follow rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Maintain records and logs (mileage, passenger count, etc.) Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Perform basic first aid as necessary and in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. Be available for daily and/or extended overnight trips.
Minimum Requirements :
Mandatory Requirements - Class B Commercial Drivers License with passenger endorsement. Three years experience in the Transportation and/or Transit fields and operation of a coach bus. Must submit to and pass all necessary back ground checks and drug testing.
Preferred Requirements:
Valid Class B Oklahoma Commercial Drivers License with passenger endorsement. Valid D.O.T. card (Medical Examiners Certificate). Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver's License.
Additional Licenses Required:
Mandatory training per FTA on Drug & Alcohol Policy & Procedures. Annual Vehicle Pre-Trip Inspection Training and Post-Trip Inspection Training. Annual training on procedures for handling Bloodborne Pathogens. Passenger Service & Safety (PASS). Recertification every three years. Defensive Driving, safe driving techniques. Recertification every 2 years. First aid and CPR, basic techniques and procedures. Recertification every 2 years. Muscogee (Creek) and Indian Preference
