Job Summary:
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are hiring Wheelchair Van Drivers to join our team in Coos Bay, Oregon. Drivers provide non-emergent medical transport alongside a paramedic partner. Candidates not yet certified as EMTs may join our Wheelchair Van Fleet and receive sponsored EMT training while working full-time. We serve over half of Coos County with a call volume of more than 10,000 annually, including 911 response, inter-facility transport, Dunes Rescue, and Wilderness Rescue.
REQUIREMENTS
Valid Driver's License with clean driving record CPR certification
EMPLOYER NOTES
Qualified candidates will possess the following: Must be able to commute to the worksite in Coos Bay, OR Must be able to maintain all required certifications and insurability Must be able to perform daily equipment checks and maintain a safe workspace
JOB DUTIES
Provide care and transport for emergent and non-emergent patients Communicate patient condition to receiving hospital staff Complete all required patient care documentation and billing information Perform daily unit check-off and ensure all critical equipment is operational Maintain cleanliness and safety of stations and work areas Assist with public outreach and distribution of community materials Perform other duties as assigned
