Sheppard Auto was established in 1950 and has been part of the Eugene community for over 75 years. We are seeking an energetic and dependable Automotive Shuttle Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating shuttle vehicles to transport passengers efficiently within designated areas, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for all riders. The Shuttle Driver plays a key role in supporting our Service Department by providing safe customer transportation Shuttle customers to and from the dealership throughout the day as needed, provide customers and dealership employees with estimated travel times to desired locations, maintaining vehicle flow, assisting service advisors, and ensuring our service drive and customer areas remain organized and welcoming. This is a fast-paced environment. Other job duties may include moving vehicle in/out of the service bays, aligning them in the designated store parking areas, assist with other duties as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customer Transportation Safely transport customers to and from the dealership while their vehicles are being serviced. Provide exceptional customer service during all customer interactions. Assist customers entering the service drive and direct them to the appropriate Service Advisor. Perform vehicle pick-up and delivery services as needed.
Guest Service:
Must provide excellent customer service to ensure passenger satisfaction and comfort; providing polite, friendly service and handling passenger inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
Communication:
Excellent communication skills are essential, includes verbal, written and listening skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, management and guests while providing excellent service to internal and external customers. Must maintain strict confidentiality. Vehicle Management Move, park, and organize customer and dealership vehicles throughout the property. Ensure vehicles are delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner. Operate a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, and hybrid models. Assist with vehicle check-in by obtaining basic vehicle information. Service Department Support Retrieve parts, supplies, and other items for technicians and service staff. Wash vehicle exteriors and vacuum interiors as needed. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the service drive, customer areas, and dealership grounds. Assist with general facility upkeep and light janitorial duties. Support snow and weather-related cleanup efforts when necessary. Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Qualifications Valid Oregon driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Strong customer service and communication skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous automotive experience is helpful but not required.
