Flat rate per route Position Overview Hamed's Transportation is hiring Cargo Van Route Relief Drivers for overnight route coverage starting from the Portland metro area. This is a 1099 independent contractor position intended as supplemental income . Route Relief drivers cover routes as needed when regular drivers are unavailable. Work is based on operational needs and driver availability. No minimum number of routes or hours is guaranteed. Routes Covered Applicants must be willing and available to cover routes as needed between: Portland, OR and The Dalles, OR Portland, OR and Seattle, WA Portland, OR and Bend, OR Schedule Overnight route start times are typically 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM . Route coverage may be needed seven days per week. Applicants must be available to commit to at least five (5) days per week . On-call STAT delivery opportunities may also be available during weekdays and weekends. Minimum Requirements Must reside in the Portland metro area. Must own a 2015 or newer cargo van . Must have recent delivery or courier experience within the last two (2) years . Must be available at least five (5) days per week . Must be available for overnight route start times of 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM . Must understand this is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity for supplemental income. Must understand that no routes or hours are guaranteed. Responsibilities Safely operate your own cargo van on assigned routes. Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries on time. Communicate with dispatch during assigned routes. Follow customer and company procedures. Complete required delivery documentation. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Compensation Flat rate per completed route. No guaranteed minimum routes or hours. Intended as supplemental income. Apply Please apply through Indeed.
