Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Pilot Car Driver to lead the escort of oversized and heavy haul loads across various routes typically from Maine to Virginia. Overnights required. Hotels covered when needed. No weekends or major holidays. Car and equiptment provided. Vital role ensures the smooth, secure, and compliant movement of mobile homes helping to prevent accidents and facilitate efficient transportation. As a Pilot Car Driver, you will be the frontline ambassador for safety, communication, and professionalism on every journey. Join us to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to moving heavy loads safely and effectively! Pay is Per loaded mile and based on experience. Raises are based on work preformed. Responsibilities Escort oversized or heavy loads through designated routes, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and traffic laws. Communicate clearly with drivers, dispatchers, law enforcement, and other stakeholders using radio or mobile devices to coordinate movements Maintain detailed logs of trips, routes taken, incidents encountered, and hours worked for compliance and reporting purposes. Ensure all safety protocols are followed during transit, including proper signage, escort procedures, and adherence to load limits. Requirements Valid driver's license. Must be 21 years of age Must be New York certified or willing to test for certification Physical ability to help with general maintenance of possible issues with truck or house during the trip
