We are seeking a part-time Smoking Attendant to join our team. As a Smoking Attendant, you will provide a clean and orderly smoking environment for our residents, ensuring their safety and comfort. If you are a caring and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about providing exceptional service, we encourage you to apply. 25 hours/week, Monday -
Friday Responsibilities:
Assist residents with smoking, lighting materials, and transportation to and from the designated smoking area Maintain a clean designated smoking area for residents Ensure residents maintain a safe smoking environment Demonstrate correct safety techniques Respect and take care of facility equipment and not wasteful of supplies Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions Keep confidential any resident information Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations Follow facility policy and procedures
Requirements:
High school diploma or its equivalent On-the-job training provided CNA license preferred, but not necessary Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public Ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents Ability to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations Familiarity with drug actions and interactions Knowledge of restorative nursing rehabilitation policies and utilizes appropriately Willingness to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing nursing practices
