This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine excellent driving skills with a commitment to customer care, ensuring patients arrive at their appointments comfortably and on time. As a key member of our transportation network, you'll be responsible for safely transporting individuals with mobility challenges, adhering to all safety protocols, and delivering exceptional service every day. Responsibilities Safely operate specialized vehicles designed for stretcher transportation, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations. Assist patients in getting on and off the vehicle, providing support and ensuring their comfort during transit. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare facilities, and dispatch teams to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times. Handle heavy lifting of stretchers and mobility equipment while maintaining proper safety techniques to prevent injury. Maintain accurate records of trips, patient information, and vehicle logs in accordance with company policies. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for both passengers and staff. Skills Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or commercial driving roles. Familiarity with paratransit services, heavy lifting techniques, and specialized transportation equipment. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and team members. Strong driving skills with a clean record; experience in limousine or school bus driving is a plus. Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues. Customer service-oriented mindset with patience and empathy for individuals with mobility needs. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for transporting vulnerable populations.
