Driver for Non-Emergency Transportation Legacy's Angel Transportation Irving, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications CDL B School experience Customer communication Route driving Safety regulations Passenger pickup and drop-off Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients to and from medical appointments, facility and hospital discharges, and other healthcare-related destinations. Our ideal candidate is punctual, professional, and committed to providing high quality customer service. Strong commnication skills are essential as you will interact with clients, caregivers, administrators', and dispatch personnel. You must also be able to maintain your assigned van by keeping it clean and road ready. A positive attitude, patience, and a genuine commitment to the safety and comfort of each client are a must. Duties Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a pleasant travel experience. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules, routes, and any issues that may arise during transport. Must be physically able to assist clients with mobility needs, including pushing wheelchairs onto ramps which includes bending/lifting. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Experience Previous experience in customer service is highly desirable. Experience in school bus driving, shuttle driving, bus driving, paratransit services, or as a delivery driver is a plus. Ability to drive safely in various weather conditions and navigate through different routes efficiently. Strong communication skills to interact positively with passengers and team members. Must be able to maintain focus during long periods of driving and manage time effectively.
