Duties Safely operate stretcher vans to transport patients or clients to medical appointments, hospitals, or care facilities. Assist passengers with loading and unloading stretchers ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed. Maintain clear communication with healthcare providers, dispatch teams, and passengers to coordinate timely pickups and drop-offs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safe operation and report any issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every trip to guarantee passenger safety. Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating compassion, patience, and professionalism with all passengers. Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs in compliance with company standards. Experience Prior shuttle driving or delivery driver experience preferred; familiarity with transporting passengers in a professional setting is a plus. Experience driving buses, limousines, or commercial vehicles such as heavy-duty trucks or school buses is highly desirable. Knowledge of paratransit operations and the ability to handle heavy lifting safely are advantageous. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with clients and team members effectively. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., driver license) required; commercial driving certification is a plus. Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and basic repairs as needed. Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service and safety standards in all driving duties.
