Job Description
Muggle Towing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Camera Car Driver to operate a company vehicle equipped with License Plate Recognition (LPR) camera technology. This is a great job for someone who enjoys driving. Basically, you drive around designated routes and the camera system scans license plates for those marked for repossession. This is not an active repossession role, but. crucial support position. The Camera Car Driver works independently and with the repossession agent team to collect accurate data and assist in the efficient recovery of assets. This position requires the ability to utilize various applications and communicate effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safe Vehicle Operation:
Drive a company-provided vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.LPR System Management:
Operate and monitor the vehicle's state-of-the-art LPR camera system to scan license plate information.Route Planning:
Follow pre-planned routes or create efficient routes using a mapping system via a company tablet, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the assigned area.Data Communication:
Immediately communicate "hits" (when a target vehicle is identified) to the dispatch team and/or repossession agents in the area.Vehicle Verification:
Perform physical verification of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and license plate when needed to confirm accuracy.Documentation:
Accurately document all information, including location, photos, and vehicle condition, using a smartphone or company-provided device.Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle and report any maintenance issues promptly.Record Keeping:
Assist in maintaining accurate and detailed records of all activities.Situational Awareness:
Remain alert and aware of surroundings while driving, paying close attention to details to maximize data collection.Compliance:
Conduct all activities in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing the repossession process.QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 23 years of age for insurance purposes. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with basic computer applications, smartphones, and mapping software. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and stay focused on tasks. Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. Basic knowledge of different vehicle makes and models is a plus. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a motor vehicle. Must have strong attention to detail to identify license plates and vehicles. Ability to work in various weather conditions. A criminal background does not automatically disqualify you. This will be considered on a case-by-case basis.Job Types:
