Job Description

KANDU spirit is a never-give-up mentality and the recognition that no challenge is insurmountable. This is a part time position 6:30am-8:30am and 2:30p-4:30p Monday thru Friday (No weekends).
Job Summary:
Our Driver is responsible for transporting clients from KANDU to designated drop off points at the end of the day, utilizing a KANDU vehicle. Their duties include assisting clients with the KANDU bus they are provided for the transporting of clients from designated pick up locations to the proper drop-off location in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities:
Transport clients to and from destinations Arrive at destinations on schedule Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays Use navigation applications to determine the best route Always interact with clients professionally and friendly Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use Inspect vehicle for safety and maintenance daily Communicate when vehicle repairs are needed Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license. Must have a clean driving record. Be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Must be able to assist clients on and off the bus. Must be able to operate a wheelchair lift. Be dependable and reliable. Be able to work in a team and individually with little supervision. Must be able to pass a caregiver background check. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical. Be able to read maps, directions, layouts, drawings, and verbal and written directions. Previous transportation/driving experience
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
Effective communication. Proficient knowledge of Wisconsin's rules of the road. High school or equivalent. Strong ability to solve problems and implement solutions. Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
