SUMMARY We're looking for a dynamic, hands-on leader to oversee daily operations of the Trap Bar and support the broader Food & Beverage program at Grand Targhee Resort. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-energy, guest-focused environment and is passionate about building strong teams, delivering exceptional experiences, and driving operational excellence. As a key member of the F&B leadership team, you'll play a critical role in shaping the guest experience, mentoring team members, and ensuring smooth, efficient operations across service, events, and entertainment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead & Develop the Team Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise 20+ front-of-house team members Lead pre-shift meetings and ongoing training to reinforce service standards Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and performance management Foster a positive, professional, and accountable team culture Oversee Daily FOH Operations Run day-to-day Trap Bar operations across summer and winter seasons Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) for BOH and other F&B outlets when needed acts as senior decision-maker for FOH in absence of the Director of F&B Maintain a strong floor presence; actively support service and step into roles (server, bartender, host) as needed Supervise guest greeting, table flow, and overall service execution Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all FOH areas Maintain Service, Quality & Standards Develop, implement, and enforce service standards across all F&B operations Monitor food and beverage quality, consistency, and presentation; ensure portion control Contribute to menu development and collaborate with culinary leadership on offerings Drive Business Performance & Financial Results Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives Build staff schedules aligned with business levels, reservations, and occupancy Manage labor, productivity, and departmental profitability goals Create and execute promotions, sales initiatives, and incentive programs Manage Inventory & Administrative Operations Oversee FOH inventory, ordering, and stock control procedures Ensure accurate and timely completion of reporting (payroll, logs, financials, emails, HR needs) Maintain records and operational documentation Coordinate Events, Entertainment & Group Business Plan and execute live music programming in alignment with budget and guest experience goals Set up, break down and execution of Festival and satellite bars Assist with Banquet and Events bar set up and training Maintain awareness of group business, reservations, and special requests and adjust operations accordingly Ensure Compliance, Safety & Sustainability Enforce all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations Promote and uphold the resort's Sustainability Charter Ensure team adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards Collaborate Across Departments & Represent the Brand Partner with BOH leadership to ensure seamless operations and address performance or quality issues Attend and contribute to meetings, training sessions, and planning initiatives Represent Grand Targhee Resort at community and industry events Deliver on the resort's service philosophy as a brand ambassador at all times Other Duties as assigned
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY
Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests at all times. Promptly report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor and/or appropriate department(s). Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor and appropriate department(s), following documented procedures. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resort's Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others. Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position oversees 20+ staff members.
WORK SCHEDULE
Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week. This includes weekends and holidays and there is no guarantee of hours. Flexible working hours may be required based on the business levels.

EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Must have 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. Must have basic proficiency of Microsoft Word & Excel software applications. Must possess good knowledge of service, wine and spirit service.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Able to accurately read and make measurements.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Excellent verbal communication skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or obtain TIPS, ServSafe preferred.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
