Schedule/Hours:

12-hour Days Every other weekend required Holidays required No on-call 16-hour orientation (client pays 50% up to 16 hours)

Core Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of CVICU experience Active IL RN license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certifications Epic experience preferred Proficiency interpreting/managing dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, thermoregulation Skilled in: CABG, IABP, Impella, Post Cardiac Surgery (not directly from OR), Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz, Valve Replacement/Repair, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, IV therapies (ports, arterial, blood products, PICC, starting IVs), central line management Experience with Impella, ECMO, and LVAD preferred Charge RN experience highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver expert care to high-acuity cardiovascular patients Interpret and manage complex cardiac devices and monitoring equipment Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Ensure diligent documentation and ongoing patient assessments May float within MICU, Evanston ICU, or Highland Park ICU as needed
