Hours:

12-hour Day Shifts Every other weekend required Holiday coverage as needed

No On-call Orientation:

16 hours (with partial pay for orientation period) Qualifications /

Experience:

Active Illinois RN license Minimum 3 years' recent Cardiovascular ICU experience Current CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, post-cardiac surgery, CABG, IABP, Impella, pre/post Cardiac Cath, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz, valve replacement/repair, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, and comprehensive IV therapy Experience with Impella, ECMO, LVAD management strongly preferred Ability to float to related ICU units as needed Epic EMR experience required Completion of a recent (within one year) CV ICU skills checklist, supervisor reference, updated resume, and passing EKG test (score of 80% or higher) Charge RN experience a plus

Responsibilities:

Deliver expert nursing care to high-acuity cardiovascular ICU patients Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes Respond swiftly to emergencies and implement advanced life-saving interventions Support smooth unit operations, including floating to other ICUs as assigned
