Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Schedule & Hours:
13-week assignment 40 guaranteed hours per week (4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday) Variable day shifts Call required: approximately 10-14 days every 6 weeks, including 2 weekends (Friday-Sunday) Holiday shifts possible; late-day cases may extend shift
Required Qualifications & Experience:
3+ years as an RN with strong Cath Lab experience Proficiency in EP studies, hemodynamics, and recovery Texas RN license or compact equivalent BLS certification (AHA) Competence in identifying cardiac rhythms, operating equipment (ventilators, IABP, Impella), and all Cath/EP Lab roles
Preferred:
Cardiovascular/Critical Care credentials (CVRNII, CCRN, RCIS, RCESE) Experience with EPIC charting highly preferred
Core Responsibilities:
Perform and support Cath and EP procedures as circulator, monitor, scrub, and recovery nurse Respond swiftly to abnormal cardiac rhythms and intervene appropriately Ensure proper equipment use and radiation safety (lead aprons/protection mandatory) Maintain readiness for unpredictable hours and high-stress situations Float as needed between three regional campuses (with prior discussion/consent)
