Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - Cath Lab Job Type Travel Step into an essential nursing role supporting patients undergoing catheterization procedures in a dynamic, technology-driven cardiac unit. This is a contract opportunity perfect for an experienced Registered Nurse with cath lab proficiency, ready to make a difference in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active RN license in good standing Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a catheterization laboratory setting Proficient in pre, intra, and post-procedural care for cath lab patients Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary cardiac care team
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures Monitors patient condition and vital signs before, during, and after procedures Prepare and maintain sterile environments within the procedure room Administer medications, assist with conscious sedation, and anticipate physician needs during interventions Document assessments, care provided, medications administered, and patient responses accurately and promptly Educate patients and families regarding procedures, post-procedure care, and recovery expectations Support cardiac emergencies and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions as needed
