Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments for pediatric to geriatric populations, tailoring care to targeted age groups Deliver expert direct patient care that aligns with Cath Lab best practices and multidisciplinary teamwork concepts Demonstrate proficiency in the use and management of emergency equipment and adherence to crisis protocols Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation, ensuring all chart entries reflect the nursing process and patient progress—including education provided Uphold professional practice standards, policies, and procedures, continually seeking clinical and professional growth opportunities Foster patient/family satisfaction by maintaining a courteous, empathetic approach and cooperative team environment—all while ensuring confidentiality per HIPAA Prioritize safety by following the National Patient Safety Goals, employing Universal Protocol, and ensuring the correct use of two patient identifiers and safe transfer techniques Apply thorough knowledge of perioperative nursing, customizing patient care according to procedures and anesthesia, assessing reactions and comprehension Assume responsibility and accountability for patient care, prioritizing based on clinical acuity and changes in condition Support completion of Patient Admission Testing (PAT), ensuring orders are appropriate and comprehensive, including patient/family education for surgical proceduresQualifications:
Valid RN license Experience in a Cath Lab setting preferred Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills Working knowledge of perioperative patient care Proficiency with safety standards and hospital documentation practicesBenefits and Perks:
