Schedule/Hours:
Travel position with anticipated full-time hours; specific shift scheduling to be confirmed upon assignment.
Qualifications:
ARRT certification in CT required. Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by NMTCB, or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with certification in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by ARRT. Valid NYS Radiologic Technologist License. BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Previous PET/CT experience required. Familiarity with GE PET or Philips PET Scanners is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Review patient history and provider orders to ensure safe, accurate procedure execution. Educate and position patients for CT and nuclear imaging exams, adapting techniques to suit age and individual needs. Perform imaging and nuclear medicine therapies, adhering to best practices and organization policy. Critically analyze images, identify quality issues, and repeat exams as needed for diagnostic clarity.
Manage radiopharmaceutical protocols:
preparation, administration, storage, and disposal per regulations. Document scan results, maintain records, and report findings efficiently. Proactively monitor patient status, responding to any changes promptly. Ensure Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms are well-stocked and organized.
