This travel nursing position in a high-acuity ICU environment will allow you to collaborate with a diverse team, enhancing your expertise and adaptability as you work alongside healthcare leaders and specialists. Professionally, you'll have the chance to advance your skills with a wide variety of patient cases, from advanced cardiac procedures and fresh hearts to post-surgical and complex medical management. Expand your clinical repertoire using state-of-the-art technologies—including CRRT (NxStage), invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and EPIC charting—broadening your experience for future career opportunities. Schedule/Hours 0700-1930 day shift Every other weekend rotation No on call Required Qualifications & Experience Active RN license Minimum 3 years ICU experience (first-time travelers must have 3 years ICU) BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred Proficiency with ventilator/trach management, invasive line management (A-line, CVP, Swann), drain/tube and foley management, chest tubes, post cath, and fresh heart preferred Experience with CRRT (NxStage) and balloon pumps highly valued Ability to float to intermediate care, MSU, ED boarding, and observation units Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive critical care to general, surgical, and cardiac/vascular ICU patients Manage and monitor complex therapies including ventilatory support, invasive devices, and post-surgical recovery Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: intensivists, pharmacists, RTs, phlebotomy, and educators Maintain accurate and timely documentation with EPIC Adapt to diverse patient populations and unit assignments Benefits & Perks Tax-advantaged stipends for housing and meals Comprehensive travel assistance and support Premium compensation for your advanced skillset Healthcare coverage, including options for immediate enrollment 401(k) retirement plan for long-term security Job security through ongoing travel opportunities Complimentary parking, flexible scheduling, and free choice of scrub colors (with some restrictions) Seize this chance to make a difference while advancing your critical care career and adventuring in a vibrant Wisconsin locale—apply today to take the next step in your travel nursing journey!
