Schedule:
Travel position with flexible assignments
Desired Skills & Experience:
Proficient in CT imaging, including operating computerized tomographic equipment Ability to recognize normal and abnormal anatomy, adjust exams per patient history and radiologist instruction Experience administering IV and oral contrast per established protocols Knowledge of radiation safety principles, including proper use of shielding and collimation Capability in nursing-related duties: assisting with sterile procedures, obtaining vital signs, clinical history, and venous puncture Excellent patient care and communication skills Competence in recognizing and responding to urgent patient conditions or allergic reactions
Key Responsibilities:
Perform CT studies in accordance with protocol, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images Administer IV and oral contrast safely, monitoring and documenting patient condition throughout procedures Apply radiation protection standards for patient, self, and others Accurately record patient data and procedural documentation Assist radiologists with sterile technique during procedures, stay alert to and respond to potential medical emergencies
