The unit is cardiovascular-focused, providing you exposure to advanced interventions and leadership models, and opportunities to float across multiple acclaimed ICUs in the region.

Schedule/Hours:

12-hour day shifts Every other weekend Holiday coverage required No on-call

Orientation:

16 paid hours

Key Qualifications:

3+ years recent CVICU experience required Active Illinois RN license, current BLS (CPR), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Proficiency in Epic EHR Ability to interpret/manage dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, and post-cardiac surgical care (excluding direct post-OR) Advanced device management (CABG, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, ECMO experience preferred) Skilled in IV therapy, arterial/central/PICC line care Strong preference for candidates with charge experience and care of LVAD patients

Responsibilities:

Deliver expert care for complex CVICU patients with advanced device and monitor support Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiac teams Float to other area ICUs as required Complete concise documentation using

Recent resume and completed CVICU skills checklist (within last year) Supervisor reference from the past 12 months EKG test with 80%+ score License verification
