As a travel Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular ICU care, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, gain exposure to renowned workplace practices, and refine leadership through potential charge responsibilities. Schedule/Hours:

12-hour day shifts Every other weekend required Rotating holidays No on-call responsibilities

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver advanced CVICU nursing care, including interpretation/management of dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure. Support post-cardiac surgery patients, including pre/post cardiac cath interventions, valve replacements/repairs, and therapies such as

CVVHD/CRRT.

Manage specialized cardiac devices (Impella, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, LVAD/RVAD, ECMO if experienced). Handle arterial/central line management, blood product administration, and intravenous therapy. Employ EPIC for comprehensive documentation and workflow. Float to neighboring intensive care units as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years recent

CVICU RN

experience Active IL RN license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certifications EKG test score of 80% or better CVICU skills checklist and recent supervisor reference (within 1 year) Proficiency with devices such as Impella, ECMO, LVAD preferred Familiarity with Epic EMR and cardiovascular campus populations
