Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, valid in Tennessee or compact state At least one year of recent Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification BLS certification Strong assessment, clinical, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities/Duties:

Provide specialized, high-level nursing care to CVICU patients Monitor, assess, and document patient status Administer cardiac medications and manage advanced equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and ventricular assist devices Collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans Educate patients and families about conditions, care, and recovery expectations Uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient safety
