Category Nursing - RN - EP Job Type Travel Discover the beautiful city of Salem, Virginia, nestled in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains—a perfect destination for your next travel nursing assignment. This is a unique opportunity to explore the natural wonders of the region while developing your clinical skills in a renowned acute care teaching hospital distinguished for its nationally recognized cardiac program and pioneering electrophysiology lab. Experience the professional enrichment that comes from working within a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated institution, and certified stroke center, where the latest cardiac technologies and team-based leadership models are standard. Embrace professional growth as you collaborate with expert teams in one of six state-of-the-art cath labs, expand your expertise with advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures, and adapt to new charting systems such as Epic. This role offers the chance to enhance your resume through hands-on exposure to cutting-edge equipment and diverse workplace practices, setting you apart as an EP Lab specialist.
Schedule/Hours:
Four 10-hour shifts: 7:00 am - 5:30 pm Rotating late shifts required if procedures extend into the evening No weekends or call requirements Holiday rotation: 1 holiday per 13-week contract Facility closed on major holidaysEssential Qualifications:
Valid RN state license, BLS, and ACLS certifications Minimum 50 miles residency distance from facility per driver's license Prior experience in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, including mapping Scrub experience required Mastery of sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition/interpretation Cardiac background Skilled in Fluro, Siemens, Ultrasound, Phillips, Carto Ensite, Cardiolab Experience with isolation precautions and complex equipment management Proficiency in Epic chartingKey Responsibilities:
Provide expert nursing care in a high-volume EP lab setting Scrub, assist, and monitor advanced interventional electrophysiology procedures Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Document and chart accurately in Epic Support inventory and supply management for lab proceduresTravel Perks & Benefits:
