Category Nursing - RN-ICU Job Type Travel Ceres, California blends small-town warmth with California's farming heritage, creating the perfect gateway for travel nurses eager to broaden both clinical and life experiences. In this locally focused, supportive environment, you'll collaborate directly with experienced healthcare providers, navigate a diversity of medical cases, and actively contribute to patient-centered outcomes. Working in a 5-bed ICU (typically 4 operational rooms) offers the chance to deliver critical care with a manageable nurse-patient ratio (1:2, including charge nurse within this ratio). This assignment is ideal for nurses ready to gain insight into leadership by working closely with charge RNs who maintain patient responsibilities, as well as for those eager to independently interpret cardiac strips and manage various titratable drips.
Schedule/Hours:
12-hour shifts, 6:00-6:30 Self-scheduling (finalized by manager for balance) Every other weekend Two major holidays per yearPreferred Qualifications:
Active RN license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications 2 years of ICU experience (first-time travelers welcome) Proficient in titrating critical drips (amiodarone, Cardizem, Precedex, levophed, insulin) Exceptional interpretation skills of cardiac monitoring strips Flexibility to float toMedSurg, ED, or PACU Key Responsibilities:
Provide critical care for a variety of medical and post-surgical patients Collaborate with hospitalists and respiratory therapists Maintain strict patient safety and professional standards (no specified scrub color) Adapt to potential unit and department floats as neededBenefits & Perks:
