This travel nursing position offers the chance to further your professional expertise in a dynamic Level III Trauma Center, known for its advanced care capabilities in critical and surgical settings. Working in an environment with a Level II NICU and a Primary Stroke Center not only broadens your clinical skillset but also places you at the cutting edge of patient care. Practicing in diverse patient populations, from general ICU to specialized post-surgical and cardiac cases, provides valuable exposure to various critical care protocols and treatment approaches. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team—including intensivists, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and dedicated educators—will refine your leadership, clinical decision-making, and adaptability. During your downtime, take advantage of Mequon's welcoming community, picturesque parks, and easy access to Lake Michigan's waterfront activities. Expand your resume with specialized assignments, such as CRRT (NxStage), fresh hearts, and complex post-operative care, all while developing relationships with healthcare professionals from across the country.
Schedule/Hours:
Day shift: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm Weekend rotation: Every other weekend 1 day paid orientation (comprehensive onboarding)Qualifications:
Active RN license Three years of ICU experience (CRRT/NxStage experience preferred) BLS and ACLS certification required NIHSS certification preferred Proficient in ventilator and trach management, invasive lines, CVVH/CRRT, and post-surgical recovery Familiarity with EPIC charting system preferred COVID vaccination requiredResponsibilities:
Deliver critical care to patients with varying acuity (medical, surgical, cardiac) Manage complex equipment like ventilators, A-lines, balloon pumps, and CRRT Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for best outcomes Prioritize patient safety and adhere to PPE protocols Float as needed to intermediate, med-surg, ED boarding, and observation units Participate in a supportive orientation and ongoing educational activitiesPerks & Benefits:
