Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Travel An Inpatient Pharmacy Manager position is available at a hospital facility in Glenwood Springs, CO, for a 24-week travel assignment starting ASAP. This role focuses on ensuring safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapies aligned with established policies and protocols. Key responsibilities include developing and enforcing pharmacy policies, maintaining a medical staff-approved formulary, supervising medication storage and preparation areas, ensuring adequate and secure medication supplies, and strict control and documentation of controlled substances. The manager will also supervise pharmacy personnel, develop job descriptions, manage staffing levels, provide education, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, they will assist in strategic planning and quality improvement for pharmacy services while participating in organizational committees and functions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy degree required) Current, valid Colorado Pharmacy license in good standing Demonstrated leadership in pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy services Strong regulatory knowledge, clinical judgment, communication, and teaching skills Experience with the Epic electronic health record system (MANDATORY) Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association Flu vaccine compliance is required (no exemptions) from October 1 through April 1 Willingness to work a 40-hour day shift schedule with flexibility to cover evenings, overnights, and weekends as needed Applicant's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility (radius rule) Compliance with Colorado Access to Care and Provider System (CAPS) registration is required prior to start

Schedule:
