Job Description

Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Travel Join a dynamic healthcare environment as an Imaging-Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist. In this contract position, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during image-guided procedures that contribute to improved patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Operate imaging equipment for a variety of interventional radiology procedures, ensuring high-quality and accurate images. Assist physicians with sterile technique and the setup of procedure rooms. Follow established protocols for safe handling and administration of contrast materials. Monitor patients during and after procedures, noting any changes and communicating promptly with medical staff. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging suite consistent with infection control protocols. Document imaging procedures and patient information accurately and in compliance with facility policies. Coordinate and communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology. Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with ARRT (VI) or (IR) preferred. Valid state technologist license as required. Minimum of one year of recent experience in a hospital or clinical setting, specifically in interventional radiology. Strong understanding and application of radiation safety principles. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to adapt to technical advancements and work in a fast-paced environment.
