Schedule:
2 shifts of 12 hours 2 shifts of 8 hours Includes weekend and call rotation; flexibility required
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MRI procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation Prepare and educate patients, addressing their concerns to ensure a safe, comfortable experience Operate MRI systems, surface coils, gating devices, and associated equipment Position and, when necessary, immobilize patients for optimal imaging, respecting their safety and abilities Select appropriate pulse sequences according to established protocols Conduct venipuncture, administer, and prepare contrast media as needed Uphold rigorous MRI safety standards to protect patients, staff, and yourself Evaluate image quality, reconstruct digital data, and ensure accurate labeling Support physicians during interventional procedures and respond with basic life support if required Use radiology information systems (including PACS) to manage records and submit diagnostic images Provide instruction and mentorship for colleagues and students
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited radiography program (education verification required) Demonstrated experience as an MRI Technologist ARRT Radiography and MRI registration required BLS certification (approved provider)
