Working under the direction of the department supervisor, you'll take an active role in overseeing the daily flow of patients, coordinating exam assignments, and executing a variety of technical nuclear medicine procedures—each day bringing new opportunities for professional growth and meaningful patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
Variable shifts; may require department rotation and on-call coverage
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Demonstrated proficiency performing nuclear medicine procedures independently Experience manipulating and archiving computerized image data Adept at radionuclide receipt, storage, and disposal per regulations Skilled in maintaining, calibrating, and operating Nuclear and PET equipment Familiarity with Epic systems and ACR accreditation processes Capable of instructing students in Radiologic Technology programs Rotation experience in nuclear cardiology, primary nuclear medicine, and PET Commitment to safety, quality control, and detailed record management
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee patient flow and daily exam assignments Collect/explain patient histories and coordinate with physicians and radiologists Adhere to protocols ensuring high-quality, safe imaging Assist radiologists during exams and invasive procedures Monitor, chart, and maintain up-to-date patient and procedure records Facilitate hot lab access and coordinate equipment maintenance
