Category Imaging - Nuclear Medicine Job Type Travel Nestled in Calvert City, Kentucky, this travel opportunity places you in the heart of a welcoming community with easy access to the natural beauty of Kentucky Lake and charming Southern sights. Schedule/Hours:
Rotates within the department and may include rotating shifts and call as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily patient flow and coordinate exam assignments Independently perform nuclear medicine procedures, exercising sound judgment and technical precision Ensure all records, charting, and patient histories are thoroughly documented Coordinate and communicate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare providers Verify patient identification and adherence to protocol for each exam Provide patient care, safety, and immobilization as required Operate, calibrate, and maintain Nuclear and PET imaging equipment Assist radiologists with invasive and non-invasive procedures, administering radiopharmaceuticals as directed Maintain compliance with quality control and safety standards Manage radionuclide records and assist with accreditation data collection Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report promptly May participate in instruction of students in the
School of Radiologic Technology Qualifications and Experience:
Proficiency in nuclear medicine imaging and PET procedures Demonstrated knowledge of radiopharmaceutical preparation, storage, and disposal within regulatory standards Comfort maintaining quality control, data management, and working with computerized imaging systems Ability to adapt to rotating assignments across nuclear cardiology, nuclear medicine, and PET Prior experience with the EPIC system is an advantage
