Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications/Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas (or ability to obtain) Previous acute or hospital-based OT experience preferred Certification from an accredited Occupational Therapy program Knowledge of best practices in patient assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention Strong communication, adaptability, and clinical reasoning skills
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop goal-driven treatment plans for patients in the hospital Provide individualized therapy, focusing on increasing patient independence and safety Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care Document patient care using hospital systems in accordance with state and federal regulations Educate patients and families on rehabilitation and follow-up care
