Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - OT Job Type Travel Seeking a skilled occupational therapist to provide quality therapy services in a hospital environment. The role is focused on patient-centric care, working collaboratively with medical teams to help individuals regain or improve their daily living skills.
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions to patients in an acute care setting Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Assess patient progress, adjust treatment approaches, and document outcomes using electronic health records (EHR) Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and strategies to aid recovery and foster independence Maintain compliance with hospital standards, legal guidelines, and therapy best practices
Desired Qualifications:
Valid occupational therapist (OT) license in Michigan Graduation from an accredited OT program Prior clinical experience in a hospital or acute care environment strongly preferred Strong communication abilities for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams Proven organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently
