Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - OT Job Type Travel Nestled in the captivating landscape of Eastern Oregon, Helix offers a unique blend of scenic beauty and small-town warmth—making it a rewarding destination for adventurous professionals pursuing travel opportunities. Serving as a travel occupational therapist here means not only enhancing your career through hands-on experience with a diverse patient base but also immersing yourself in a region rich with outdoor recreation, local culture, and welcoming communities. Working in this dynamic, multidisciplinary hospital environment will expose you to a broad mix of care settings, from acute inpatient and acute rehab to outpatient orthopedics and transitional care. You'll have the chance to collaborate with skilled healthcare professionals, gain exposure to varied workplace practices and leadership styles, and further strengthen your expertise treating complex orthopedic cases, hands, elbows, and shoulders.
Schedule/Hours:
Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday No weekend or holiday shifts for a true work-life balance
Key Qualifications:
Active Oregon Occupational Therapist license Current BLS certification Strong background in orthopedics (required) Familiarity with care for patients recovering from orthopedic procedures, CVA, MS, head injuries Outpatient orthopedic and acute care experience (hands, elbows, shoulders) Lymphedema training is a plus
Core Responsibilities:
Provide patient-centered therapy (treat 12 patients daily), focusing mainly on outpatient orthopedics Document patient care using ReDoc (OP) and Meditech (acute) Collaborate efficiently with rehab aides and other team members Adapt care plans to meet a variety of complex needs in acute and rehab settings Maintain compliance with dress code (scrubs required, no denim)
