Schedule/Hours:
Travelers begin assignments on Wednesdays During orientation week, travelers with a 48-hour contract are guaranteed 36 hours due to a midweek start Participation in the on-call rotation: one night per week and every fourth weekend; ability to respond within 30 minutes when on call
Key Responsibilities:
Provide thorough perioperative nursing care from pre-op assessment to intraoperative support and PACU recovery Rotate between circulator, scrub nurse, and PACU roles, ensuring seamless surgical operations Uphold AORN standards and participate in surgical safety measures Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for coordinated, high-quality patient care
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing Active Vermont or multi-state RN license At least two years of perioperative nursing experience Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills Flexibility to work across perioperative roles, with training offered
