Job Description

As a Travel Operating Room RN, you'll immerse yourself in a thriving surgical department, gaining hands-on experience with advanced orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic procedures. Schedule/Hours:
10-hour shifts, 4 days/week (0800-1830) 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month on call (with potential for more as department needs fluctuate) Flexibility to float to other affiliated locations as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in collaboration with healthcare teams Interpret and address physical, mental, and spiritual needs of surgical patients Provide thorough explanations and patient education to individuals and families Apply keen clinical judgment to recognize, address, and report changes in patient conditions Maintain a positive, professional work environment by utilizing effective communication skills Ensure thorough and accurate documentation in all records Commit to ongoing professional development and mandatory continuing education
Desired Qualifications:
Active Illinois RN license Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certification Previous Operating Room nursing experience; expertise with ortho/urology/spine procedures preferred Ability to manage call rotation and adapt to diverse surgical cases Willingness to float to other surgical sites as needed
