Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Travel Discover the charm of Shawnee, KS—where small-town warmth meets dynamic professional opportunity. This travel assignment for an experienced Operating Room RN offers the chance to deepen your skillset in a vibrant healthcare setting and enjoy access to the scenic heartland of Kansas. During your downtime, explore local parks, downtown shops, and the region's culinary gems for a truly rewarding adventure. As a traveling RN in this role, you'll work closely with talented perioperative teams and established clinical leadership. Engaging with diverse workplace practices will broaden your clinical expertise and enrich your resume with sought-after specialties, such as robotics, orthopedics, GU/GYN, ENT, plastics, and general surgery.
Schedule/Hours:
Four 10-hour day shifts weekly: 6:30am - 5:00pm Expect 1-2 weekends within a three-month period
On-call:
3-6 days within a three-month span Holiday shifts as needed, based on unit requirements
Desired Qualifications:
KS RN license or Compact License in good standing AHA BLS certification required At least 1 year of relevant Operating Room experience with exposure to general surgery, robotics, orthopedics, GU/GYN, ENT, and plastics Comfortable adapting to dynamic perioperative environments; experience with
EPIC EMR
is a plus New graduates not accepted for this assignment
Core Responsibilities:
Circulate and scrub on a wide range of surgical cases Adhere to evidence-based infection control and patient safety standards Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and support patient/family communication Flex with schedule changes, on-call, and occasional weekends or holidays
