You'll gain hands-on exposure to a broad range of perioperative practices and collaborate with seasoned surgeons and interdisciplinary colleagues who exemplify patient-centered care. Expand your clinical skills as you rotate between circulator, scrub, and PACU roles—supported by ongoing cross-training. This role not only strengthens your clinical portfolio but also fosters adaptability and growth through exposure to different leadership styles and innovative surgical care models.
Schedule/Hours:
Travelers start Wednesdays On-call rotation: one night per week and every fourth weekend Must be able to respond and start a case within 30 minutes while on call Orientation week: 36 hours guaranteed for 48-hour contracts due to midweek start Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, comprehensive perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgery Perform duties as a circulator, scrub nurse, and PACU RN, adapting to daily surgical needs Adhere to AORN standards, meticulously documenting and participating in all surgical safety processes Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure coordinated care Qualifications Graduate of an accredited RN program Active Vermont or multi-state RN license At least 2 years' recent perioperative nursing experience Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Demonstrated critical thinking, communication, and clinical judgment skills Willingness to cross-train and take on multiple perioperative roles Benefits & Travel Perks Tax-advantaged housing and meal stipends Comprehensive healthcare benefits and 401(k) plan Travel assistance and premium compensation for your expertise Reliable job security in a supportive environment Opportunities to grow your professional network and resume Take the next step in your nursing journey while exploring one of Vermont's most picturesque regions.
