Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Travel Advance your nursing career by providing compassionate and expert care in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). As a contract Registered Nurse specializing in PACU, you will support patients during the critical recovery period following surgery, delivering high-quality clinical care in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position with flexible scheduling based on clinical needs
Qualifications & Experience:
Current and unrestricted RN license Minimum of one year of recent PACU, critical care, or recovery unit experience required BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities Excellent communication, organization, and patient relations skills Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess patients emerging from anesthesia, tracking vital signs and levels of consciousness Respond swiftly to changes in patient conditions or post-operative complications Administer prescribed medications and therapies accurately Provide clear postoperative instructions and support to patients and families Work closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient assessments, interventions, and progress Ensure safety, infection control, and comfort standards are upheld at all times This opportunity offers a rewarding chance to contribute your expertise and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes during the recovery process.
