Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Travel Step into a dynamic Pre-Op Holding and Ambulatory Surgery environment, working alongside a seasoned nursing team that values patient care and exceptional communication. This contract opportunity is focused on providing high-quality nursing care to Pre-Op and Phase 2 recovery patients utilizing the latest equipment, including Pyxis and
GE MACVU EKG
machines, all supported by an efficient Meditech EMR system.
Schedule:
Shifts are 5:00 AM to 5:00
PM Qualifications:
Active RN license with minimum of 1 year of current acute care Pre-Op hospital experience BLS and ACLS certifications required Background with Meditech EMR and prior pre-op nursing experience preferred Strong communication and a commitment to outstanding patient experiences
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive preoperative assessments, care, and documentation Oversee Phase 2 recoveries for Urology, GYN, and same-day surgery patients Support procedures including surgery prep, endoscopy, cath lab cases, EKGs, blood transfusions, and outpatient infusions Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team and promptly coordinate patient flow Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3 to ensure individualized attention and safety Utilize critical nursing equipment including Doppler, bladder scanner, and patient scales Participate in on-call rotation with a required 30-minute response time
