Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Travel Step into a vital recovery care role as a Registered Nurse specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) services. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled RN ready to provide exceptional post-operative care for patients transitioning from anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess patients' conditions immediately after surgery, ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia. Administer medications and manage IVs as prescribed by physicians. Recognize and respond to signs of complications or distress, intervening according to protocols. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in medical records. Communicate effectively with surgical teams, anesthesia staff, and families to ensure seamless patient care. Educate patients and relatives on post-operative care and discharge instructions. Uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient safety throughout the recovery process.
Required Qualifications:
Current and valid RN license. Proven experience in PACU, critical care, or surgical recovery nursing. BLS and ACLS certification. Strong critical thinking and rapid response skills for acute patient care. Effective communication skills for patient and multidisciplinary team interactions. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
