Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Travel Experience the vibrant community and rich history of Mechanicsville, VA, as a travel RN in a dynamic Cardiac Medical Stepdown setting. This assignment offers the perfect balance of professional challenge and personal adventure—immerse yourself in a region known for its Southern charm, proximity to major cities, and endless opportunities for exploration in your downtime, from local food and arts scenes to beautiful nearby parks. Professionally, you'll broaden your expertise by joining a 24-bed cardiac stepdown unit, managing complex patient populations including cardiac, surgical, renal, and end-stage respiratory cases. Gain hands-on experience with advanced equipment and treatment protocols, and collaborate with talented interdisciplinary teams operating under a variety of leadership styles—all of which will enhance your clinical acumen and adaptability for future roles. Schedule Day shifts with every other weekend and major holiday coverage Qualifications Current RN license in valid state or compact 1 year RN experience (6 months in acute care preferred) BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Must pass EKG exam at orientation (study guide provided) Proficiency in lab draws essential No candidates within a 50-mile radius BSN, PCCN, CCRN, critical care coursework, and
EPIC EHR
