Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Travel Experience the welcoming community and vibrant culture of Ottawa, Ohio, while advancing your nursing career through a travel assignment specializing in Stepdown care. This opportunity offers the unique chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, flex clinical expertise in complex patient situations, and broaden your skills with a varied patient population ranging from Stepdown to ICU and MS/Tele as needed. Schedule:
12-hour days Weekender only:
Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current RN license in Ohio or compact state
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
required (certifications may be obtained prior to assignment) Minimum 1 year of RN experience; at least 6 months in acute care strongly preferred Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available) Prior experience with ICU level patients, vents, and trachs Drip competency: Amio, Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine, Cardene, Lasix, Bumex, Narcan, Milrinone (fixed rates) Familiarity with central lines, chest tubes, foleys, medi ports, and advanced oxygen modalities Navy blue scrubs required
Preferred:
Pre/Post Cath Lab and CABG experience CCRN or PCCN credentials
EPIC EHR
proficiency Critical Care Course completion
Key Responsibilities:
Complete frequent patient assessments; develop and adjust care plans to optimize outcomes Administer and monitor IV drips and respiratory therapies Float to ICU or MS/Tele units as needed, including managing stable ICU cases Serve as a resource for safety, patient advocacy, and interdisciplinary care coordination
