Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Travel Discover the welcoming town of East Jordan, MI—a scenic destination in the heart of northern Michigan's Great Lakes region, renowned for its friendly atmosphere, charming lakeshores, and abundance of outdoor activities. As a travel nurse in this area, you'll have the unique opportunity to advance your career with exposure to a high-caliber cardiovascular unit, while also exploring hiking trails, water sports, and local culture during your downtime. This Stepdown Nursing position places you at the center of a top-performing Cardiovascular Unit that cares for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually. You'll gain valuable experience with cutting-edge procedures such as PTCA, stent placements, TAVR, MitraClip, bi-ventricular pacemakers, and post-operative open heart surgery care. The department is also at the forefront of national clinical research trials, offering a dynamic, learning-rich environment. Working alongside award-winning teams—including a Silver-level Beacon Award recipient and a U.S. Top 50 Heart Hospital—you'll collaborate with leaders who set new standards in patient care, efficiency, and innovation. Schedule/Hours:
Travel contract, full-time shiftsQualifications:
Active RN license with recent Stepdown experience Strong clinical judgment in cardiovascular nursing BLS and ACLS certifications (preferred) Experience working with post-op cardiac surgery, CHF, and electrophysiology patients is a plus Commitment to punctual and reliable attendance in accordance with the strict attendance policyResponsibilities:
Deliver critical care to cardiovascular patients Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage postoperative recovery Communicate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes Document and report patient responses and progress Participate in clinical research activities as neededBenefits & Travel Perks:
